Tournament Information
All 3 tournaments are Co-Ed rotating pairs. If you are not familiar with this format. You will sign up with your teammate. There will be 4-5 teams on each net. You will play with and against all the teams on your net. You will stay with your partner through the entire tournament. Placement will be determined by Wins/Losses and then points.
Friday Tournament at Oasis in Broomfield (May 13th)
- Check-in will start at 5 pm
- Game play starts at 6 pm
- Everyone is guaranteed 2 rounds of pool play
- There will be 3 rounds total
- First round all nets will have all levels of play
- Second round will be divided into upper and lower (D1 & D2)
- Top 4 overall of each division will advance and play to determine final placement
- Final 4 teams all get commemorative prize
Saturday Sand at Lakewood Park (May 14th)
- Check-in Starts at 9:00
- Game play starts at 9:30
- Everyone is guaranteed 2 rounds of pool play
- There will 4 rounds total
- First round all nets will have all levels of play
- Second round will be divided into 2 divisions (D1 & D2)
- Top 2 from each net will advance to final 4
- Final 4 teams all get commemorative prize
Saturday Grass Lakewood Park (May 14th)
- Check-in Starts at 8:00
- Game play starts at 9:00
- Everyone is guaranteed 2 rounds of pool play
- First round all nets will have all levels of play
- Second round will be divided into 2 divisions (D1, D2)
- The top 16 from each division will advance to round 3
- The top 4 from each division will advance to the final 4 round.
- Final 4 teams all get commemorative prize
General Rules
Serving
- You cannot set the serve.
- Jump serves are allowed after the first round of pool play is complete.
- You cannot attack or block the serve
- You cannot touch the back line while serving
General Play
- Have FUN!!! Remember this is a CHARITY EVENT. Do your best in each game – no throwing games so your friends can win.
- Please put all trash in the garbage bag provided at your net. Bring garbage and net to registration area when you take your net down at the end of the day.
- Setting - Call your own hands to your level of play.
- Setting – you cannot set first ball over that is not hard-driven.
- Back row player may not jump to attack a ball. Back row can jump to block.
- Block is not considered a hit.
- No open hand dinks (directing the ball with the fingers).
- Cannot continue play on another court. If ball or player goes onto another court - it is out.
- The tournament management must approve any substitution.
